共享基金会在西非塞内加尔完玉成球第9000例手术！塞内加尔是全球最贫穷国家之一，外地人民面临医疗资源匮乏，纵然眼睛有问题亦难以获得治疗。

GX Foundation completes world's 9,000th surgery in Senegal, West Africa! Senegal is one of the poorest countries in the world, and its people face a lack of medical resources, even if they have eye problems.

全球第9000例、塞内加尔第二期项目第500例患者是一名刚过100岁生日的婆婆。婆婆在前年发明视力最先下降，双眼模糊，生涯无法自理。日前在子女的陪同下到基金会的项目点接受检查，并确诊患上最严重的白内障。

The 9,000th case worldwide and the 500th case in Senegal's Phase II program is a mother-in-law who just celebrated her 100th birthday. Mother-in-law in the previous year found that vision began to decline, eyes blurred, life can not take care of themselves. Recently, accompanied by her children, she went to the foundation's project site for a check-up and was diagnosed with the most severe cataract.

婆婆年岁老迈，心肺功效误差，加上白内障情形严重，手术的难度相当高，但由于她非Ｅ卧钢丶扑，也十分信托中国医疗队，以是愿意接受手术。医疗队获得婆婆的信托后，敌手术充满信心，并于15分钟内完成了手术。

The elderly mother-in-law, heart and lung function deviation, coupled with a serious cataract condition, the operation is quite difficult, but because she is very eager to see again, and also very trust in the Chinese medical team, so willing to accept the operation. After gaining the trust of her mother-in-law, the medical team was confident in the operation and completed it in 15 minutes.

婆婆在术后的视力优异，拆开纱布时亦体现得十分兴奋，很是谢谢基金会及医疗队的资助，直言这是一份最好的生日及新年礼物。

The mother-in-law's vision was good after the operation, and she was very excited when she opened the gauze. She was very grateful to the foundation and the medical team for their help, and frankly said that it was the best birthday and New Year gift.

协助百岁高龄的婆婆重见灼烁，基金会同仝亦感应十分感动及兴奋，我们也祝愿婆婆生日快乐，龙腾虎跃。

基金会自去年10月在塞内加尔开展首期项目后，现时正举行第二期项目，至今已在外地完成672例免费白内障手术。

After the first project in Senegal in October last year, the foundation is now carrying out the second phase of the project, which has so far completed 672 free cataract surgeries there.
